In May ‘s meeting we met Diane Steele, who spoke about Round Robin quilting, Block Exchanges and Challenge Quilts. She mentioned that while the frustrations of round robin quilting are numerous, they can be alleviated by choosing the groups wisely based on ability making the rules governing the quilt very clear. Not just block size, but whether the fabric will be pre washed, fusible appliqué can be used, etc. which can avoid mistakes and hurt feelings. She participates in two quilt guilds: Calendar Girls and another with our recent speaker, Sandra Bruce.
